Indications: sterk vermoeden op- of bewezen cefazoline/cefuroxim-allergie of eerdere ernstige ‘delayed type’ allergie op een ß-lactam antibioticum

hartoperatie, implantatie ICD of pacemaker

General comments

hartoperaties en implantatie pacemaker/ICD: bij bekende S. aureus-dragers wordt aangeraden voor te behandelen met mupirocine-neuszalf.

bij type I allergie voor β-lactams: clindamycine of vancomycine, uit te breiden met gramnegatieve dekking bij hoge incidentie van wondinfecties met gramnegatieven. Voor adviezen bij langere operatieduur: zie SWAB richtlijn.

 

Waar in het advies bij longchirurgie cefuroxim iv. wordt geadviseerd, kan ook ceftriaxon 2g iv. eenmalig worden gegeven.
